The Bony Side of Endothelial Cells in Prostate Cancer. Author Jia Peng, Yibin Kang Publication Year 2017 Type Journal Article Abstract Prostate cancer bone metastases are primarily osteoblastic, but the source of bone-forming cells in these lesions remains poorly defined. In this issue of Developmental Cell, Lin et al. (2017) demonstrate that tumor-associated endothelial cells can give rise to osteoblasts in prostate cancer through endothelial-to-osteoblast (EC-to-OSB) conversion.
