Eliza Prangley, a graduate student in the Korennykh lab, and Rachel Kaletsky a postdoc in the Murphy lab, were honored for giving the best research talks at the 2020 MOL Departmental retreat. Eliza's talk was titled Deciphering mRNA decay by stress protein Ire1 in the unfolded protein response and Rachel's was C. elegans “reads” bacterial non-coding RNAs to learn pathogenic avoidance.
