Petry and Toettcher receive 2016 NIH Director's New Innovator Award

Molecular Biology Assistant Professors Sabine Petry and Jared Toettcher are both recipients of a 2016 NIH Director's New Innovator Award.  The awards provides $300K per year in direct costs for 5 years.  Dr. Petry's award is for "Building the Chromosome Segregation Machinery from Scratch." Dr. Toettcher's award is titled "Harnessing optogenetics to diagnose and therapeutically rewire cancer cell signaling."
