John F Brooks II

John F Brooks II was appointed Assistant Professor in Molecular Biology starting January, 2022. Brooks studies the impact of the circadian rhythm on the gut microbiome. John is currently an HHMI Hanna H. Gray Fellow at UT Southwestern Medical School. He holds a B.S. from the University of Michigan in Microbiology and a Ph.D. from Northwestern University's Feinberg School of Medicine. Brooks trained in the the Walter S. and Lucienne Driskill Graduate Training Program in Life Sciences at Northwestern. Dr. Brooks is one of 18 newly appointed Assistant Professors announced by the Trustees of the University on September 29, 2021.
