Bonnie Bassler Awarded GSA Medal

Bonnie Bassler has been awarded the Genetics Society of America medal in recognition of her groundbreaking studies of bacterial chemical communication and regulation of group behaviors. The Medal is given for oustanding contributions to the field of genetics in the last 15 years.
The Genetics Society of America awardees were nominated and selected by their colleagues and will be recognized with presentations at The Allied Genetics Conference, held April 22–26, 2020 in the metro Washington, DC area.
The 2020 recipients are recognized for a broad range of critical contributions to science, including scientific discoveries, mentoring, creation of community resources, and education. Other winners are listed on the Society's website.
