Faculty & Academic Professional Staff Lecturer The Department of Molecular Biology may have occasional openings for full and part-time lecturers in the areas of molecular biology, cell biology, neurobiology, biochemistry, neuroscience, and genetics during the 2024-25 academic year. Individuals should possess a Ph.D. in molecular biology or a related field and have experience with teaching at the undergraduate level. Any successful candidate will attend weekly lectures, be present during lab, lead weekly discussions, hold regular office hours, meet with the course instructor(s), and assist in exam writing and grading as it applies to the course being taught. Appointment duty time will depend on student enrollment. Princeton University is especially interested in qualified candidates who can contribute, through their research, teaching, and/or service, to the diversity and excellence of our academic community. Postdoctoral Research Associate The Department of Molecular Biology at Princeton University currently has research positions available at the postdoctoral and more senior research levels in the areas of biochemistry, biophysics, cell biology, structural biology, microbiology, developmental biology, virology, genetics and cancer biology. Initial term is for one year with the possibility of reappointment based on satisfactory performance and continued funding. ... Postdoctoral Research Associate, Brooks Lab The Brooks lab in The Molecular Biology Department at Princeton University seeks to mechanistically determine how microbial cues promote innate and adaptive immune functions. We explore this question across both time and space as it occurs in the gastrointestinal tract. Our group is seeking a highly motivated postdoctoral candidate or more senior researcher to characterize the impact of microbial metabolites on animal immunity. The successful candidate will join a highly collaborative group with strengths in cell biology, mouse genetics, and molecular biology. The P.I. is dedicated to providing a nurturing training environment with the acknowledgment that mentorship must be tailored to the individual. The ideal applicant will be highly motivated; have a Ph.D. degree; research experience in one or more of the following cell biology, molecular biology, biochemistry, genetics, immunology, and/or microbiology; excellent oral communication and writing skills, preferred. Postdoctoral Research Associate, Mesa Lab We are seeking an ambitious and driven Postdoctoral Research Associate to conduct cutting-edge research at the intersection of immunology and regenerative medicine in the lab of Dr. Kai Mesa at Princeton University. The Mesa Lab has pioneered innovative intravital multiphoton imaging techniques, paired with advanced mouse genetic tools, to observe and manipulate immune cell behavior at the single-cell level in live animals. This groundbreaking approach has enabled real-time study of distinct macrophage populations, providing new insights into how these cells drive tissue repair and how aging impacts their function. By joining our team, you will contribute to transformative research that could directly influence therapies for age-related diseases and advance regenerative medicine. For more information about the lab, please visit https://mesa-lab.org/. If you are interested in searching among opportunities or applying for a faculty or academic professional staff position, please apply through Princeton University's Academic Hiring Site (AHIRE). Administrative or Research Staff If you are interested in searching among opportunities or applying for an administrative or research staff position, please apply through the Careers at Princeton Site (CAPS). Lab Manager, Gavis Lab The Gavis lab is seeking a highly motivated, organized Lab Manager for a full-time position within the Department of Molecular Biology. Our lab studies post-transcriptional control of gene expression and its role in crucial decisions that cells must make within a developing embryo. We use the fruit fly, Drosophila melanogaster, as a model for these studies, which incorporate genetics, molecular biology, biochemistry, and imaging. We aim to foster a collaborative lab environment that supports people interested in contributing to exciting science, learning new skills/concepts, and advancing their professional goals. Strong organization, time-management, record keeping, and communication skills are essential. The work performed by the successful candidate will be foundational to all lab projects and will result in co-authorship on high impact publications. The position is available starting May 2025 with a negotiable start date. A minimum 2-year commitment is required, although longer term is preferred contingent on satisfactory performance. This is a 2-year term position with possibility of extension. More information about the lab can be found at https://gavislab.scholar.princeton.edu/. Research Specialist, Myhrvold Lab Princeton University's Department of Molecular Biology seeks applicants for a Research Specialist I (RSI) position to join a laboratory focused on studying RNA using programmable, CRISPR-based technologies. The Myhrvold Lab at Princeton University develops cutting-edge, CRISPR-based technologies to study RNA viral infection and RNA transcription, regulation, and localization. We are also developing CRISPR-based viral diagnostics and antiviral therapies with the aim of creating a rapid development platform for new viral diagnostics and therapies, in close collaboration with Pardis Sabeti's lab at the Broad Institute of MIT and Harvard.
