Nikon TIRF, Super Resolution (localization type), and Ablation

  • The microscope base is a fully motorized Nikon Ti-E with Perfect Focus System (interferometric based focus maintenance (PFS)). The system also has a piezo stage with 100 um range capable of up to 100 steps/sec, mounted in a fully motorized XY stage.
  • TIRF module with mag optic and ¼ wave for super resolution localization applications.

  • In addition to TIRF capabilities, this system has been optimized for super resolution capabilities (localization type).
  • System is fitted with Rapp Optoelectronic 355 nm pulsed laser for ablation.
  • There is a 512 back-thinned EMCCD (Andor iXon Ultra) fitted on to this system.
  • A stage piezo also allows for very fast z section acquisition.
  • There is also an environmental control chamber for long-term live cell imaging.
