GMOP celebrates mentorship initiative

The Graduate Molecular Biology Outreach Program (GMOP) celebrates the culmination of a long-lasting mentorship initiative that started roughly two years ago. Douglas Wainwright, a local Burlington County Regional High School student, published his self-guided research project in the Journal of Emerging Investigators at Harvard University. Douglas was mentored by GMOP Chair Garner Soltes, and received scientific writing advice and oversight from several other GMOP volunteers, including Brian Ell and Allison Hall. Based on this success, GMOP will continue this initiative in a further attempt to expand local students’ scientific interest and knowledge.
