GMOP assists with Hurricane Sandy relief efforts

Graduate Molecular Biology Outreach Program (GMOP) organized a group of volunteers (consisting of graduate students, post docs and professors) to help with Hurricane Sandy clean up at Monmouth Beach, NJ on November 10, 2012.  Volunteers were kept busy all day with shoveling sand, packing fine china, and removing water damaged furniture and sheetrock from homes.  The Red Cross provided hot drinks and meals for all volunteers.  Residents were very grateful to have help as they picked up the pieces of their homes.  Contact the municipality of your favorite NJ beach to see how you can help!
