Coleen Murphy Wins Ellison Award
Coleen Murphy, an Assistant Professor in Molecular Biology and the Lewis-Sigler Institute for Integrative Genomics, has been awarded an Ellison Medical Foundation New Scholars in Aging award. The Ellison Medical Foundation Aging Program supports basic biomedical research on aging relevant to understanding aging processes and age-related diseases and disabilities. The award is $50,000 per year over four years. Murphy’s long-term objective is to discover the molecular basis of aging by studying the genetic pathways that determine longevity.
